Eilean Donan Castle, October 2022
We took the vans for a quick weekend tour round one of our favourite places, the Isle Of Skye! We visited the Talisker distillery to refuel, dog walks up Bla Bheinn, tourist dodging along the Quiraing and paddle boarding on the banks of Dunvegan Castle.
The Autumn is a great time to get in some van trips. The roads are quieter, the colours are epic and there are no midgies to worry about. The latter is pretty important as Skye is definitely the birth place of the midge!

Loch Dunvegan (and Kinloch Campsite) is a great place to get out on the water to explore. Lack of wind meant the paddle boards came out much to the amusement of the local seals.
Our Transit Custom Trail is fitted out with; Torridon (storage version), Clachan and Bruich Beag kitchen pod and includes burnt orange Harris Tweed upholstery.
It wouldn't be a trip to Skye without a bit of hill walking. With a small weather window between the rain we managed to get up Bla Bheinn (Vane). There are a fair few ways up and down this Munro but whichever way you get to the top the views are definitely worth it!
Oh and the roads are pretty awesome but maybe not for low profile tyres and big rims! (scroll)
